Billing

As a municipal electric utility, Idaho Falls Power partners with the City of Idaho Falls to consolidate all Utility charges on one bill - electric, water, sewer and garbage. There are several ways to pay your utility bill. You may pay your bill online, by telephone, in-person at the Treasurer's office, or you can enroll in auto-pay using your checking account or bank card (debit or credit card).

Pay in person

Payments can be made at the Treasurer's office, in the drop box located in the west parking lot of City Hall, at kiosks located at the Utility Dept, Treasury Dept, and the Idaho Falls Power building foyer or at Fred Meyer's and Walmart. For more detailed information about In-Person Payment options, click here.

Auto Pay

As the name implies, the Auto Payment Program allows IFP customers to have their utility charges deducted directly from their bank account or credit/debit card each month. Participants continue to receive a copy of the monthly billing record for budgeting purposes, unless you also enroll in Paperless Billing. To sign up for Auto Pay by bank draft, complete the online Auto Pay form, or download a PDF version of the Auto Pay Form and then email, mail, or submit the completed form in person to the City Utilities office. Auto Pay by credit/debit card can be completed online. Please note that anytime a credit/debit card is used to make a payment, a $4.50 surcharge will be added.

Budget Billing (aka Level Pay)

Intended to make budgeting easier, the City offers the Budget Billing program for residential and small business customers.

You can sign up for this service at any time; however, we recommend doing so after you've lived at your current address for at least a year in order to avoid adjustments to the payment amount, since the program estimates your monthly payment for the next year based on usage history.

For more information and for instructions to sign up, call the City Utilities department at 208-612-8280, email them at utilities@idahofalls.gov, or visit them in person at the City Utilities office.

Paperless Billing

By enrolling in this option, you'll receive an email each month with a link to view your statement, rather than a hard copy of your bill in the mail. Customers who enroll in paperless billing will receive a $1 credit on their utility bill.
