For Your Business: Lighting
Idaho Falls Power provides rebates and zero-interest loans for commercial and industrial lighting projects. Our lighting calculator will assist you in determining the qualification status of your lighting project, and it will give you an estimate of the rebate amount for which the project qualifies. If you believe your project qualifies for our programs, please call Idaho Falls Power and schedule a pre-inspection.

Rebate & Loan Qualifications
- The building must receive electricity service from Idaho Falls Power
- A building audit must be conducted by Idaho Falls Power prior to the purchase and installation of your lighting upgrade
Rebates will be issued to the customer after IFP has completed a final inspection of your project. Upon project completion, and IFP representative will visit your business and verify the installation before issuing the rebate check. Rebate checks generally take 3-6 weeks to arrive in the mail.
Loan Terms
IFP will provide a loan up to 100 percent of the actual cost of installing lighting projects, not to exceed $25,000. Rebates are available for up to 50 percent of the cost of installing qualifying measures. Customers may choose either a loan or a rebate.
- No interest
- Up to 60 months to repay
- $25 administration charge
- $500 minimum loan amount
- Maximum loan amount of $25,000 for lighting projects
If applicant moves, ownership changes, or nonpayment occurs for three months then any remaining balance will be immediately due and payable. If the loan is due and a customer defaults, interest will accrue on the unpaid principal, at the rate of 12 percent per annum. Should the account become delinquent, it will be subject to disconnection of electric service.
IFP issues the payment to the contractor for the allowable loan amount. It is the customer's responsibility to pay the contractor for costs in excess of the program loan amount.
The loan amount will be added to the customer's utility bill and will be payable in equal monthly installments. The monthly loan amount will appear as a separate line item on the customer's utility bill, and the loan payment can be submitted with the regular utility payment.
