Fishing Pond

Family Fishing Pond – Family Recreation
The Idaho Falls Power fishing pond was built in the late 1980s as part of the Gem State Hydropower Project. The goal is to provide easy access to family friendly recreation. The pond is part of the utility's commitment to the community. The five-acre pond and surrounding habitat feature nesting platforms, trees, and grasslands that have been preserved for nesting waterfowl and other wildlife.
Idaho Falls Power works with the Idaho Dept. of Fish and Game to ensure the pond is stocked throughout the summer with a variety of fish such as Rainbow Trout, Smallmouth Bass, and Bluegill.
Idaho Dept. of Fish and Game regulations apply to the fishing pond.
